Persona 3 Portable Gets a Physical Release! Should YOU Buy?

Limited Run Games have done it! They’re releasing a physical copy of Persona 3 Portable. And it’s not just ANY physical release:

You have to hand it to Limited Run Games, they REALLY know how to make a product look appealing. The sleek design of the steelbook, the beautiful patch and box presentation, THE ENFORCER in the back?! This is what I call some curbside appeal.

For many of us, as game collectors, so much of what we collect not only depends on the actual product itself, but we also want something that we can show off on our shelves, and this ad is just that. It’s actually incredible how well they arranged everything to look so appealing. Nevermind that the S.E.E.S Edition of Persona 3 Portable COSTS $200: How does this make you feel?

In all honesty, my wife was about to look at our bank statement and have a mini heart attack because I almost impulse-bought this edition of the game.

Let me reiterate that: I ALMOST IMPULSE-BOUGHT A $200 GAME.

Now why would I do that? Because I’m insane? Don’t answer that. It’s because it is so much less about how much it costs and it’s so much more about how it looks and how it makes you feel. They even leave out the price tag on the ad itself. What does the price matter when we know we’ll pay any price to have it in our hands.

Unfortunately for me, I will not be breaking the bank to buy this edition of the game (what did you expect, I’m married), but for those of you who are interested, it comes out September 29th on Limited Run’s Website here. I’ll be in the corner with my steelbook edition of the game crying wondering, “What if”.
